Georgia Legal Services Program Deploys InfoExpress Solution
Georgia Legal Services Program has selected and deployed InfoExpress CyberGatekeeper with Dynamic Network Access Control, or “DNAC,” and CyberGatekeeper Remote to help secure the non-profit’s network.
Georgia Legal provides legal services and advice to low income individuals and families via 11 remote offices throughout Georgia.
“Since we are a non-profit, I have to justify every IT purchase I make to our executive director – Phyllis Holmen – and the executive team,” said Joseph Mays, director of IT, Georgia Legal Services, in a statement, adding that after looking closely at several NAC products, InfoExpress Dynamic NAC was an easy choice.
“DNAC provided all the features I needed to secure our network, requiring zero network changes at a cost that was significantly less than products that offered the same benefits and capabilities,” Mays said.
Officials with InfoExpress said that in addition to protecting networks from the risks of badly configured computers and rogue endpoints, DNAC ensures strict security policy compliance and provides the added benefit of inventory analysis.
“We were surprised to find that more than 60 percent of our computers were out of compliance. After we used DNAC to audit the endpoints on our network, we were able to remediate out of compliance machines while in monitor only mode,” Mays said.
He said that this ensured complete compliance before Georgia Legal turned on enforcement and started to quarantine endpoints for serious policy violations. Georgia Legal deployed the DNAC solution on its own with remote support from InfoExpress.
The technical support team was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the deployment process. And, other vendors Georgia Legal looked at required an on-site engineer to deploy their product and reconfigure network.
“We were also looking at 2-3 days of training to use it – all at an additional cost to us. With DNAC and CyberGatekeeper Remote, on-site deployment and training services are optional,” Mays said. “We were able to centrally deploy the solution without having to travel to any of our remote offices.”
Once the company had the Policy Servers in place and the policies created, it was literally as simple as putting the CyberGatekeeper Agent onto a couple of endpoints on each subnet and pushing the policy out to the two policy servers.
Stacey Lum, CEO of InfoExpress said that InfoExpress’ out-of-band NAC solutions are ideal for organizations with many distributed networks.
“Our solutions can be easily deployed and remotely managed without network changes. This can save hundreds of thousands of dollars for large organizations and tens of thousands for mid-sized ones,” Lum said.
InfoExpress network security solutions protect enterprise networks and the endpoints connecting to them. At the core of InfoExpress solution is the CyberGatekeeper NAC solution, which ensures endpoints are safe and compliant with security policies by performing real-time audits and quarantining of all network-attached endpoints.
