Coveo (News - Alert) has announced that the Centre d’accès à l’information juridique/Legal Information Access Centre (CAIJ) has attained considerable success and improved its popularity through the use of Coveo products.
In fact, the not-for-profit has been honored with the Hugh Lawford Award for Excellence in Legal Publishing and the 2012 OCTAS Business Solutions Award. Being one of the largest sources of legal information in North America, CAIJ enables access to numerous pieces of legal information.
CAIJ’s branded Web-based search engine, JuriBistroTM UNIK, utilizes Coveo unified indexing technology and offers a useful access to more than one million digital resources in legislation, case law and legal literature.
CAIJ’s selection of Coveo products was based on its ability to provide unified indexing features and providing indexing in various data formats such as HTML documents and MARC records.
Indexing facility is also available in the international standard for the description of bibliographic items developed by the Library of Congress, the company has announced.
“CAIJ provides a critical service for the Quebec legal industry as a major source of information that is appropriate and reflective of the community’s needs, and we are pleased to support their mission,” stated Diane Berry, SVP of Marketing and Communication, Coveo. “Case law is a complicated and dynamic web of information; the volume and variety of data the legal industry produces is exceptional. We are happy to provide them with that power.”
Recently, the company recruited Guy Gauvin as COO. In his new job, Gauvin will report to CEO Louis Tetu. Gauvin will look after improving the company's scalability in its current period of growth. He will also be responsible for achieving overall company revenue goals, customer delight metrics and global and regional business operations.
Before joining Coveo, he worked for more than 10 years at Taleo.
