Equivio Equips Equivio Zoom v2.2 with Newly Developed Clustering Component

By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributor

Equivio, a developer of text analysis software for e-discovery, stated that it has upgraded its Equivio Zoom v2.2 solution with a newly developed Clustering component.

Equivio Zoom is an integrated e-discovery platform for predictive coding and analytics that is easier to use and its one-touch management removes the need to move data around and brings down the chances for error. Combining Equivio’s best-of-breed near-duplicates, e-mail threads, relevance and clustering components, together with data import, ECA and enriched analytics capabilities, Zoom reportedly provides the tools one needs for easier, faster and smarter e-discovery.

For instance, clusters are supposedly used in ECA to help navigate across the collection, allowing the attorney to achieve a high-level perspective of “what’s out there”. The clustering component that is built into Zoom can help users group documents by subject, enable review by conceptual clusters and significantly improve review efficiency.

With clustering, one can seamlessly navigate through large document collections and map data into conceptual groupings so that any objective that deals with important content or material of interest is identified and resolved quickly. It enhances review productivity by generating homogeneous batches, where all the documents in a given batch belong to a single cluster topic.

Amir Milo, CEO at Equivio commented, “Based on customer feedback, Equivio is constantly developing and enhancing its products and technologies to meet the evolving needs of the e-discovery market. Clustering will enable our customers to perform faster and smarter e-discovery by reducing the complexity of large document collections and giving them actionable insight into the content of their data. The benefits to Zoom users go straight to the bottom line – increased productivity and reduced review costs”.

Recently, Pathway Forensic enhanced e-Discovery processing with Equivio Technology and Applied Discovery partnered with Equivio to offer predictive tagging technology.
